Reference O1 – from the collection of Miss E Fletcher from Madeley – could possibly have been taken at the Hay Farm or Cuckoo Oak Farm – but what is going on?
Jonathan has recently contacted us with the following comment:
“I’ve just been looking over the two Mayoral/Civic photographs on the site,
the top picture, with the barn like building behind the party, looks like
the old market hall in Much Wenlock – so it would be the Mayor of Wenlock.
The market hall is now the Museum – it was enclosed between the wars and
became a cinema. So this may be the proclamation of King George V.”

“The second picture I think is Bridgnorth High Street – at the top of
Whitburn Street. The building on the right being the wine bar”
